Pros:
German build and reliability. Runs like new even after 100k. Ample space with fold down seats. Great gear change. Easy parking in cities. Good residual sales.
Cons:
1.6 engine perky but not enough grunt, especially with passengers. Basic model lacks luxury equipment. Back end will flip out under heavy acceleration when cornering in wet.
Comments:
Strangely enough used Compacts sell for as much as their saloon cousins.
