Great fun to own and drive. Comfortable low drive. Good acceleration in 2nd and even has poke in 5th.! 0-60 in 8 seconds.. burns off MX5\'s (just!) Convertible but with asthetically pleasing hard top roof for winter months. Good soft top - easy quick manual motion with heated rear windows in soft and hard top. A car for a driver not a motorist. Pretty reliable as you would expect from Toyota

Do not buy this car if you want practicality - there is no boot at all. but surprising how much can fit in luggage space behind seats. Over-steer when accelerating in wet due to rear engine and rear wheel drive. Not making them anymore :-( I\'m no haridresser.. but get accused sometimes.. Expensive for service or for worn parts replacement (brakes, tyres, etc) Some non-manufacturer garages wont touch mid engine

Used to be able to change basics on my car including cooler system and thermostat.. no chance with MR2 - everything computerised diagnostics, sealed under bonnet and back and hard to get to. Garage every time - expect to budget heavily for wear and tear costs
