Pros:

Very well equipped car with loads of space, but it will accelerate from very low revs, will cruise at high speeds and return very good fuel consumption (> 30 mpg). Engine tweaked slightly (very simpel modification of turbo boost that ECU optimises without changing any electronics) to give about 260 bhp and massive torque (about 260 lbft at 1800 rpm). Saab sprots suspension kit improves handling to point of not wanting to know where it will break. Huge load lugger with rear seats folded - > 3 ft wide and 6.5 ft long. Front sets incredibly comfortable and long journeys (from Birmingham to Zurich) leave back without pains.

Cons:

Styoe of car is very dated. Repairs, except changing bulbs, very difficult because of equipment being packed into the bonnet and body. High cost of replacement parts, but they do last and very rarely fail. Difficult to follow electrical system because of so many circuits. Body not as stiff as it could be with distortion on ramps.

Comments:

Very understated car with high level of equipment. Massive torque at low revs provides diesel like acceleration with petrol wide rev band. Very frugal engine for size and power - more mpg than 150 bhp Saab 9000 that I owned many years ago. Very slab sided style, but that provides very high internal to external size ratio, ie it is large inside as well as large outside.
