Good looks, well finished, easy to drive, easier to park, good stereo system, very relibile.

Only fault I ever had with this car is that the cigarette lighter never worked. its now 5 years old and some rust "bubbles" are starting to show which I am disappointed in. Also the interior of the boot appears to be letting in some water somewhere.

This is my 5th Mercedes, the others being a 380SLC, 380SL, a 500SL, a 380CE, all of which I really loved. I bought the 430CLK 5 years ago and have been very happy with it. It has everything I wanted, power, good vision, reliability, pretty good running costs and excellent safety. I must say that I am unhappy about rust bubbles now appearing on it as with my previous mercedes cars I never had any problem with that, and in fact I still see the 500SL and 380CE as I sold them to people I know and they are still very happy. I would certainly go for a mercedes again, although now looking at the resale values they do appear to drop considerably and this could be a factor next purchase as I have also been looking at BMW.
