Solid German build quality, comfortable, quiet, very reliable, good range of engines/trim levels,

Expensive when things go wrong, rear leg room not good, base models are very basic,

This car unless you go for an AMG is a cruiser not a sports car, although all petrol engines from 2.2 and above give reasonable performance. On the road the car feels sure footed and quiet, and gives you plenty of warning you are trying to push it too far. The driving position is superb and gives excellent all round visibility, you dont feel fateagued after driving the car for long distances, you feel like you have been sitting in an arm chair. These are cars that if properly maintained will just keep going. my car has done 214K miles and still drives better than many new cars. even after all these miles the automatic gearbox is still smooth. General servicing is no more than any other car of its size if you use an independant specalist or a good local garage, general service parts are readily available from good motor factors. the service interval is 8000 miles.
