My 2002 2.4T is very comfortable, very smooth, very safe, and decently fast and big enough for a family of 5. It only cost £4100 with 71k miles and fvsh. It's also cheaper to insure than my old diesel Primera! I'm happy.

It's green and I can't switch off the headlights.

I used to drive a bit too fast (or tried to). Now I'm happy to drive smooooth. It has the power when you want it but has changed my daily commute from a rat-race to a cruise. It doesn't attract attention but so what? The local vandals are not interested so it doesn't cost much in wing mirrors, and anyway I'm 46 and listening to the news on radio 4 in comfort.
