Good performance from the straight six engine, smooth, powerfull, sounds great and surprisingly efficient and relatively economical cruising at motorway speeds. Very good brakes, handles very well with direct and responsive steering.

Rear visibilty not the greatest especialy when raining no rear wiper. The gear change is not the smoothest of actions especialy from 1st to 2nd gear. Some of the interior trim and fittings feel cheap and not what you would expect from BMW.

Having previously owned an Audi this BMW model does not feel as solid or as well built particulary the interior. But there is no doubt about the engineering and quality underneath that has gone into building this car. And so far (fingers crossed) in just over a years ownership nothing has gone wrong with the car. Also its more involving and much more of a fun car to drive than the Audi.
