Pros:
The car is cheap and exceptionally well equipped. It cruises on the motorway effortlessly and gets 40+MPG on motorways journeys. Extremely comfortable to drive, feels like an arm chair after 200 miles+. 12,500 service intervals and excellent Honda dealer customer service and dealer geographical coverage.
Cons:
Tne I-shift gearbox is dangerous. It consistently leaves you crawling onto a roundabout with no torque, it robs the car of it's considerable power, is very notchy and lags, a lot.
Despite the beautiful leather upholstery the car is otherwise trimmed with cheap, tacky, painted plastic which is of variable fit.
The "false bottom" boot is impractical and difficult to operate with your arms full.
6 weeks ago I had a call from Honda asking "It's 18 months since you got your Civic, what do you think of it?" so I launched into an explanation of it's faults. I was told, in a frosty voice "Thanks for your feedback". Helpful!
