This is my second car of the current shape. It's a slug on acceleration unless you get it chipped. I spent £500 but the extra flexibility and improved economy are worth it. Fuel consumption has decreased by 15%, which means that the chip is paid for within a year at 12000 miles a year. After 28,000 miles, there is still plenty of mileage in the tyres- about another 28,000! The service costs are steep, but the drop in value without a service history is even steeper.
