Looks good, very pretty little car. Economical for an automatic, smooth but lively engine. Well equipped. Solid planted feel on the road.

Tight for legroom and headroom in the back means that it really a 2+2. Small access to boot, question marks over long term reliability. Cambelts need changing after just 5 years or 72k miles.

What a surprise this car has been so far! We hunted around for a smallish automatic to replace my wife's ageing Rover 200 auto. Having looked at the usual suspects (206, Xsara, Astra, Focus etc) and dismissed them due to condition, high road tax band, insurance group and so on, we saw this one for sale. Driving it for the first time was a pleasant surprise: Lively responsive engine, firm but not harsh ride, very cute looking, half leather sporty interior. It suits my wife down to the ground and I enjoy driving it too. The 1.6 16v engine is even proving economical for an automatic, the road tax is middling and the insurance group is OK at 8. As long as we have no major problems, this might be one of the best used cars we have bought.
