Pros:
Good car to drive and and gives you real confidence when you are on country roads, would highly recomend that anyone buying one gets it chipped, as the quattro system can more than handle the extra power.
Cons:
The running costs are quite expensive I haven't averaged any more than 34mpg and that's taking it easy on a motorway run.
Comments:
I bought my A3 1.8T Quattro second hand from a national dealer 18mths ago, luckily I took out an extended warranty as after only 6wks the slave cylinder needed replacing which would of cost me £750.
After that though there has been no more problems and on the whole I have been over the moon with the car, It has full leather interior and surround sound bose system (which is excellent).
The level of grip the quattro system gives is unbeliveable, and can easily handle the 219bhp I got from the engine after having it chipped (which I would recomend).
The boot is small and the back is a bit cramped, but to be fair that was never a concern when I was looking for new car. What I wanted was something that made you feel good everytime you get behind the wheel and the A3 does that everytime.
