Comments:
I have owned my Fabia SDi for nearly a year now, and I can say that it is the best car I have owned for the money, I needed a cheap, reliable car for commuting, and it ticks all the boxes, its a little lacking in power and equipment, but being the base version I do not expect anything else, there is not much to go wrong and everything works fine and mine has done 128,000 miles and still does not rattle and when I had it checked by the AA they could not find any faults.
It is so economical, cheap insurance and this non-turbo no gadget version is the most economical variant and at 2009 prices £20 of diesel gets me 300 miles, this car will easily do 600+ miles from a tank. The only slight niggle is the internal boot release meaning that you have to open the doors to open the boot and if you don't close the boot properly you have to keep going back into the car to release it, I don't know why they didn't just put a catch on the boot lid I am sure that would have been a more cost-effective solution.
